Steve Rubel has it right when he says that “If Web 2.0 is like golf, then a blog is a nine iron, while a micro-blog is a putter.” This meme is seems to be taking off and feel like I’m seeing this idea of long and short form blogging a lot now, but then I do a little hunting and feel like it’s only Rubel. Maybe I’m just forgetting where I’ve been or he makes a lot of noise, but regardless, he’s right.

I’ve been Twittering a few months now and while I can’t always see the point of it, at the same time I enjoy it. The point of Twittering when I started was to find out what the point of it was, figure out why it was popular and what could be done with it. Have I learning anything yet? Still working on that, but it’s become part of what I do and my nascent blogging and twittering would seem to work together as a macro and micro views of what I am thinking and doing.
