Running Google Mobile Updater this morning I was very excited to see Google Reader pop up as an option for download, especially after making it a Christmas wish. Installing it, I found that it’s just a link to the reader mobile site, which I’ve generally found useless, despite others loving it. Probably just a settings issue that I need to resolve. Ah well, still hoping for an offline Reader application ala the GMail app for the Blackberry, and hopefully better support for links (again I hope that’s a settings issue).

I did install Google Talk for BlackBerry which is a revelation, BUT I have to wonder why it isn’t showing up in Google Mobile Updater? Seems like it should be and I would love to have ALL of the Google apps on my BlackBerry so that I can emulate Android on my 8700.
